My Story

From a hard start to a life of purpose.

I grew up with a single mom who was in and out of prison and battling addiction. I never knew my father. The stability and structure other kids had — I didn’t have any of it.

I had my first child my senior year of high school. Standing there as a teen mom, I made a promise: my daughter would have what I didn’t. Stability. Structure. A life she could count on. So I started building it — one decision at a time.

A month out of high school I went into the medical field. From there I earned degrees in law enforcement. My last career was with the state, helping families access medical, cash, and nutrition assistance — helping people who were exactly where I’d been.

Then I was laid off from what I thought was my forever job. And it hit me: someone else had been in control of my money the whole time.

My location, my time, my future — none of it was truly mine. That’s when my pastor introduced me to Global Financial Impact Group. He thought I’d be a great fit because I have a heart for helping people. He was right.

Now I’m building something different — for myself, for my eight children (ours is a beautifully blended family), for my one-year-old granddaughter, and for every family I serve. I’ve been with my best friend of thirty years; we’ll celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary soon.

This isn’t a job — it’s a calling. I want to leave a legacy that shows my children they can do anything they set their minds to. And I want to help families like mine gain the stability and structure I had to fight to build.

Every consultation starts with a thorough needs assessment — your goals, your family or business situation, your existing coverage, and your budget. From there I build a recommendation backed by careful analysis. There’s no template; the plan is built around your unique situation.
Term life provides coverage for a set period (10, 20, 30 years) and is usually the most affordable. Whole life lasts your entire lifetime and builds cash value. Indexed Universal Life (IUL) offers lifetime coverage with growth potential tied to market indexes. Many clients benefit from a blended strategy — we’ll talk through which fits your situation best.
Insurance and retirement planning work hand in hand. Annuities can provide guaranteed income for life. 401(k) rollovers give you more control over your retirement assets. Certain permanent life insurance products offer tax-advantaged growth and supplemental retirement income. We’ll look at the whole picture, not just one piece.
Several things: key person insurance to protect against the loss of a critical employee or partner, buy-sell funding so ownership transitions smoothly, group benefits to attract and retain talent, and executive bonus plans for leadership. We’ll work through what’s most important based on your business stage and goals.
Most pre-existing conditions are still very insurable. Different carriers underwrite differently — what’s a “no” at one company is often an easy “yes” at another. That’s the value of having an advisor who shops the market on your behalf rather than being captive to one carrier.
Never. Initial consultations are complimentary, with zero obligation. My compensation comes from the carriers, not from you, so my advice is always free. If we work together, you simply pay your monthly premium — same as you would with any policy.
